his is the process of removing the infected, injured, or dead pulp from a tooth and filling the space left.

Inside the tooth, the pulp is normally alive, with nerves and a blood supply. But decay or injury can destroy this living part and cause an abscess at the end of the root.

Watch for signs of a tooth becoming discolored or for pain and swelling around a tooth. Don't wait until it hurts. Call us as soon as you experience symptoms.

A root canal treatment could need more than one visit. It will depend on whether there's infection and the number of roots to be filled. Back teeth have more roots than front teeth.

A root filling usually successful and can last many years.

Sometimes extraction is the only option - root canal treatment can not save every tooth.
